Chemical Engineer

Chemical Engineer Job Description:
We are a developer of new chemical products for the enhanced recovery of oil, enviro-friendly remediation and cleanup, water treatment for contaminant separation, mining and recovery of metals, and upstream and downstream oilfield treatment applications. Our company is seeking an individual that can help define our product applications through testing and analysis to understand potential and then conceptualize and develop processes for commercial application.

For consideration you must meet the following:
• Strong understanding of chemistry and the ability to develop and perform testing protocol on product applications
• Understanding of process design for remediation, water treatment, oil recovery, mining, and other types of applications
• Understanding of lab procedures, safety, and lab equipment.
• Develop P&IDs, detailed equipment specifications, construction packages, system designs, etc.
• Ability to develop commercial process from product/application testing to process design and operation
• Able to conceptually develop project scopes and technical solutions
• Able to execute tasks within budget and scope
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in team environment with multiple deadlines
• Ability to both give and follow direction and to collaborate with, train and lead team members, sub contractors, and suppliers
•General understanding of EPA standards, ASTM standards, API standards, ANSI Standards, OSHA regulations and other generally accepted industrial standards and practices


Minimum Qualifications


• BS Chemical Engineering
• Work experience, desirable
• Strong knowledge of chemistry
• Working knowledge of lab equipment, safety, and procedures
• Design, concept, and implementation capabilities of processes
• Strong Computer skills
• Strong oral and written skills
• Ability to multi task


Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to obtain PE Registration
• AutoCAD / P&ID skills
• Acute analytical and visual skills
• Ability to develop protocol and procedures
• Understanding of electrochemistry, geology, geo-science, and/or geo-chemistry
• Knowledge of mining, oil production, and/or refining
• Inter-discipline design coordination skills
• Ability to develop and manage sub-contractor and supplier relationships
