Here's a little bit about this blog in the author's own words:
"The Scottish Chemist is a science blog written by the #1 Scottish chemist in the Fargo-Moorhead area. Actually I figure I am the only Scottish chemist in the Fargo-Moorhead area so I'm #1 simply by default. I teach chemistry at Concordia College and am actively involved in the Concordia Science Academy outreach program in getting young kids hands-on experience with science and getting them excited about all the different aspects of science.
My blog will be a series of (hopefully not too technical) articles on science whether it be science in the news, bad science in the media or just materials relevant to what I am up to in the lab. Feedback welcomed and check back often as I plan to update at least once a week."
