In this role you will be responsible to manage the instrumentation staff related to training and performance management. You will also ensure that all tests performed are appropriate to the clients expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Participate in activities with other departments and with the Management team in maintaining and improving Certified Laboratories Management system.
Use business analytics to manage the department. Recommend and implement best practices and maintain company accuracy, productivity and efficiency standards.
Provide mentor-ship to the staff in order to enhance their personal and professional growth.
Effectively interact with clients to understand their issues, provide test results and recommendations.
Develop, measure, and maintain processes to increase accuracy of testing and turnaround time.
Ensure implementation of QA/QC program all operations and documentation requirements.
Maintain all quality management records for the department.
Provide consultative feedback to clients utilizing resourcefulness, making scientific suggestions and overall, enhancing the comfort level in the clients decision to do business with Certified Laboratories.
Responsible for the execution of all ISO and QC requirements.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

BS degree in Chemistry, MS degree in Chemistry a plus.
Seven (7) to ten (10) years industrial and five (5) to seven (7) years managerial experience.
Effective interpersonal skills with strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Strong quantitative skills, proven attention to detail with effective organizational skills.
Proven ability to develop, adapt and validate testing methods.
Proven expertise in relevant techniques and instrumentation.
Proven problem solving, trouble shooting, and critical thinking skills.
